MTN Nigeria Unveils Cloud Services for Small Businesses

MTN, Nigeria’s leading Information and
Communications Technology (ICT)
Company, has launched a Cloud Services
in the country for Small and Medium
Scale Enterprises (SMEs).
The launch makes MTN the first
telecommunications operator to offer
Cloud services to small businesses in the
Nigerian market.
“It is a range of prepaid cloud-based
services designed to offer Human
Resource Management , Customer
Relationship Management and other
enterprise software over a secure
internet connection. And this without any
of the associated IT infrastructure costs,”
said Babatunde Osho, chief enterprise
solutions officer.
According to him, with the launch of the
services, SMEs in Nigeria will now be able
to enjoy enterprise solutions without the
usual attendant cost.
Osho said technology has become a key
differentiator and enabler for businesses
and as such offerings like MTN Cloud
Services can prove to be a critical success
factor for SMEs due to their flexibility and
pay-as-you-go cost structure.
He said the services would enable small
businesses to increase their productivity
and by implication, profitability.
